After completing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at ETH Zurich in 2014, Dr. Philipp Furler completed his Executive MBA at the University of Strathclyde in 2018. With more than ten years of professional experience in the fields of high-temperature solar chemistry and reactor engineering, the expert looks back on positions such as Operating Agent – Solar Chemistry Research for the International Energy Agency’s SolarPACES technology program. Before joining Synhelion, he co-founded the ETH spin-off company Sunredox, which was acquired by Synhelion in 2018. With the Swiss company Synhelion, the expert has since produced solar fuels to decarbonize transport. In March 2022, the airline Swiss announced that it would start flying with the solar fuel in the following year.
